Stir in garlic; cook until fragrant, about 3 minutes more. Add kale gradually; cook and stir until just wilted, about 1 minute. Stir in chicken broth, balsamic vinegar, bouillon cubes, sugar, and pepper.

For a vegetarian option, omit the turkey bacon and add a splash of smoked paprika for depth of flavor.
Adjust the amount of red pepper flakes to suit your spice preference.
If using a stovetop pressure cooker, be sure to monitor the pressure carefully and adjust the heat as needed.
Feel free to substitute vegetable broth for chicken broth to make this recipe vegetarian.
