Follow The Directions

01

Step
2 mins

In a small saucepan, whisk together the brown sugar, water, white vinegar, teriyaki sauce, and cornstarch until well combined. (2 minutes)

02

Step
5 mins

Bring the mixture to a boil over medium-high heat, stirring constantly to prevent scorching. (3-5 minutes)

03

Step
7 mins

Once boiling, reduce the heat to low and simmer gently, stirring frequently, until the glaze thickens to your desired consistency. This usually takes between 5 to 10 minutes. The glaze should coat the back of a spoon.

04

Step
10 mins

Remove from heat and let cool slightly. The glaze will continue to thicken as it cools. (10 minutes)

For a richer flavor, use dark brown sugar instead of light brown sugar.
If the glaze becomes too thick, whisk in a tablespoon of water at a time until you reach your desired consistency.
Store the balsamic glaze in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
