For a deeper smoky flavor, use smoked paprika in place of some of the chili powder. If you don't have chipotle powder, you can substitute with ancho chile powder or a pinch of cayenne pepper for heat. Store the cooled peanuts in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week.
