Follow The Directions

01

Step

In a medium bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, flour, baking powder, and onion salt until a smooth, lump-free batter forms. (5 minutes)

02

Step

Heat the vegetable oil in a large, heavy-bottomed pot or deep fryer to 350°F (175°C). Use a thermometer to ensure accurate temperature control for optimal crispness. (10 minutes)

03

Step

Gently dredge each onion ring in the prepared batter, ensuring it's fully coated. Allow excess batter to drip off before carefully placing the onion ring into the hot oil. (5 minutes)

04

Step

Fry the onion rings in batches, being careful not to overcrowd the pot, for 2-3 minutes per batch, or until they turn a beautiful golden brown. (10 minutes)

05

Step

Using a slotted spoon or frying spider, carefully remove the fried onion rings and place them on a wire rack lined with paper towels to drain excess oil. (5 minutes)

06

Step

Serve immediately while hot and crispy. Enjoy! (2 minutes)

For extra crispy onion rings, try chilling the batter for 30 minutes before frying.
If you don't have onion salt, you can substitute with 1 teaspoon of salt and 1 teaspoon of onion powder.
To keep the onion rings warm while frying in batches, place the drained rings in a preheated oven at 200°F (95°C).
Experiment with different seasonings in the batter, such as garlic powder, smoked paprika, or cayenne pepper, for a unique flavor twist.
