For best results, use room temperature ingredients. If you don't have fresh berries on hand, frozen berries can be used. Do not thaw before using. A sprinkle of coarse sugar on top of the muffins before baking adds a nice touch. Store cooled muffins in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
