Follow The Directions

01

Step

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). (5 minutes)

02

Step

In a large bowl, gently combine the ground beef, mayonnaise, bread crumbs, Dijon mustard, granulated onion, salt, and pepper until just mixed. Be careful not to overmix. (10 minutes)

03

Step

Transfer the mixture to a 9x5-inch loaf pan. Gently shape the meatloaf into a loaf, pressing it down to eliminate air pockets and ensure it fits snugly in the pan. Square off the sides for a neat presentation. (5 minutes)

04

Step

Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes. Rotate the pan and continue baking for another 30 minutes. (60 minutes)

05

Step

In a small bowl, whisk together the steak sauce, ketchup, and brown sugar to create a tangy-sweet glaze. (2 minutes)

06

Step

Remove the meatloaf from the oven and evenly spoon the glaze over the top. Return to the oven and bake until the meatloaf is cooked through and the internal temperature reaches at least 160 degrees F (70 degrees C), approximately 10 more minutes. (10 minutes)

07

Step

Remove the meatloaf from the oven and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing and serving. This allows the juices to redistribute, resulting in a more tender and flavorful meatloaf. (5 minutes)

For a richer flavor, try using a blend of ground beef, pork, and veal.
Add finely diced vegetables such as onions, carrots, or celery to the meatloaf mixture for added moisture and nutrients.
Top with crispy fried onion straws during the last 5 minutes of baking.
Instead of a loaf pan, shape the meatloaf on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper for even browning.
