Follow The Directions

01

Step

Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Add pasta and cook for 8 to 10 minutes or until al dente; drain. (8-10 minutes)

02

Step

In a small saucepan, bring vinegar and sugar to a boil. Boil for one minute. (2 minutes)

03

Step

In large bowl, combine vinegar mixture, Catalina dressing and Italian dressing. Mix well. Add pasta, cucumber, olives, tomato, onion, carrots, and bell pepper; toss. Season with celery salt, salt and pepper. Refrigerate until serving. (15 minutes + chilling time)

For an extra layer of flavor, consider adding marinated artichoke hearts or sun-dried tomatoes.
Feel free to substitute your favorite vegetables or add protein such as grilled chicken or chickpeas.
If you don't have time to chill the salad overnight, allow it to sit for at least 2-3 hours to allow the flavors to develop.

Next time I might try using a different type of pasta, like rotini, for more texture.

I halved the sugar and it was still plenty sweet for my taste.
