Follow The Directions

01

Step

In a large skillet, melt 1 tablespoon of butter with olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the diced onion and garlic powder; sauté until the onion is beautifully golden brown, approximately 5-7 minutes. Reduce the heat to medium. Introduce the ground beef, cooking and stirring until it's browned and delightfully crumbly, about another 5-7 minutes.

02

Step

Meanwhile, in a generously sized pot, bring lightly salted water to a vigorous boil. Stir in the egg noodles, ensuring they're fully submerged. Cook the noodles, uncovered and stirring occasionally, until they reach that perfect al dente texture – tender yet firm to the bite, around 6 minutes. Drain the noodles thoroughly, then return them to the pot.

03

Step

Gently stir in the sour cream and the remaining 1 ½ teaspoons of butter into the ground beef mixture within the skillet. Introduce the cream of mushroom soup, cream of celery soup, paprika, salt, and black pepper; stir everything together with care. Continue to cook, stirring occasionally, until the sauce thickens to your desired velvety consistency, roughly 10 minutes. Finally, lovingly stir the sauce into the egg noodles, ensuring each strand is evenly coated in the creamy goodness.

For an extra layer of flavor, consider adding a splash of Worcestershire sauce to the ground beef while it's browning.
A dollop of Dijon mustard in the sauce can add a delightful tang.
Garnish with fresh parsley or chives for a pop of color and freshness.
Use high-quality ground beef with a lower fat percentage to minimize grease.

I found the sauce a bit too thick, so I added a little milk to thin it out. It was perfect after that!

So easy and delicious! Perfect for a busy weeknight. I used ground turkey instead of beef and it worked great.
