For best results, brine the chicken in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours, or up to overnight. Ensure the chicken is fully submerged in the brine. If necessary, use a plate or weight to keep it submerged. This brine is also excellent for turkey or pork. Adjust the sugar level to your preference. Some prefer a slightly sweeter brine. Discard the brine after use. Do not reuse it.
