For a richer flavor, consider using chicken thighs instead of breasts. If you prefer a thicker chili, you can mash some of the beans against the side of the pot. Adjust the amount of picante sauce to control the level of spiciness. A dollop of sour cream or Greek yogurt, shredded cheese, fresh cilantro, and a squeeze of lime juice make excellent toppings. The chili tastes even better the next day, as the flavors have more time to meld.
