Follow The Directions

01

Step

In a large, heavy-bottomed saucepan, heat olive oil over medium heat. (2 minutes)

02

Step

Add chopped onion and minced garlic. Sauté until softened and lightly golden, about 8 minutes.

03

Step

Add lobster tails and parsley. Cook until the lobster shells turn a vibrant red, approximately 10-15 minutes.

04

Step

Stir in crushed tomatoes, tomato sauce, and chopped basil. Season with salt and pepper. (2 minutes)

05

Step

Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 1 hour, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking. (60 minutes)

06

Step

Remove lobster tails from the sauce. Extract the lobster meat from the shells and either stir it back into the sauce or serve the tails separately as a delectable accompaniment.

For an even richer flavor, consider adding a splash of dry white wine to the sauce along with the tomatoes.
Fresh herbs are key to the bright, vibrant flavor of this sauce. If fresh basil is unavailable, substitute with 1 tablespoon of dried basil, adding it at the beginning of the simmering process.
Adjust seasoning to your personal preference. A pinch of red pepper flakes can add a pleasant touch of heat.
Serve over linguine, spaghetti, or your favorite pasta shape. Garnish with fresh basil leaves and a drizzle of olive oil.

The sauce was a bit too acidic for my taste, so I added a teaspoon of sugar to balance it out.
