Follow The Directions

01

Step

In a large skillet, heat over medium-high heat. Crumble and brown the pork sausage, stirring frequently, until cooked through, about 5-7 minutes. Drain off any excess grease using a colander, then transfer the sausage to a large saucepan.

02

Step

Stir in one package of taco seasoning with the browned sausage. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the spices become fragrant, around 3-5 minutes. Add 2 cups of water and the remaining taco seasoning, stirring until the seasoning is fully dissolved. Allow the mixture to simmer for an additional 5 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld.

03

Step

Reduce the heat to low. Gradually incorporate the cubed processed cheese food, stirring continuously until the cheese is completely melted and the mixture is smooth, about 5-7 minutes. Be patient and stir to prevent sticking.

04

Step

Stir in the Louisiana-style hot sauce, adjusting the amount to your desired level of heat. If the dip becomes too thick, add the remaining 1 cup of water, a little at a time, until you reach your preferred consistency. Serve hot with tortilla chips, crackers, or your favorite dippers.

For an even richer flavor, consider using a combination of different cheeses, such as cheddar or pepper jack.
If you don't have Louisiana-style hot sauce, any hot sauce will work. Start with a small amount and adjust to taste.
To keep the dip warm during serving, transfer it to a slow cooker on the 'warm' setting.
Garnish with chopped cilantro, green onions, or diced tomatoes for added freshness and visual appeal.
