Follow The Directions

01

Step

Prepare your workspace: Line a 15x10x1-inch jelly roll pan with waxed paper and lightly grease the paper. (5 minutes)

02

Step

Melt the marshmallow mixture: In a large, microwave-safe bowl, combine the marshmallows, butter, and peanut butter. Cover the bowl and microwave until the marshmallows are completely melted, approximately 2 minutes. Stir until smooth and fully combined. (5 minutes)

03

Step

Combine cereal and mixture: Stir in the crispy rice cereal until evenly coated with the marshmallow mixture. Spread the mixture into the prepared pan, pressing gently to create an even layer. (10 minutes)

04

Step

Melt the chocolate mixture: In a separate microwave-safe bowl, combine the chocolate chips and butterscotch chips. Microwave until melted, about 2 minutes, stirring every 30 seconds to prevent burning. Stir until smooth. (5 minutes)

05

Step

Create the log: Spread the melted chocolate mixture evenly over the cereal mixture, leaving a 1-inch border around the edges. Carefully roll the cereal mixture around the chocolate filling, starting from a short side, jelly-roll style. Gently peel away the waxed paper as you roll. (15 minutes)

06

Step

Chill and serve: Place the log, seam-side down, on a serving platter. Refrigerate until firm and set, about 1 hour. Once set, slice into narrow pieces and serve. (60 minutes)

For easier rolling, slightly dampen your hands to prevent the mixture from sticking.
If you don't have waxed paper, parchment paper works as a substitute.
Feel free to experiment with different types of chocolate chips, such as dark chocolate or white chocolate, for a unique flavor.
Store leftover slices in an airtight container in the refrigerator to maintain their crispness.
