Combine the potatoes, spinach, carrots, turnips, garlic, and lentils in a slow cooker. Pour enough water over the mixture to cover. (5 minutes)

For a richer flavor, sauté the garlic and carrots in a tablespoon of olive oil before adding them to the slow cooker.
