For an extra layer of flavor, consider adding a sprinkle of finely chopped chives or green onions. Experiment with different types of cheese – Gruyere or Fontina would be excellent substitutes for Parmesan. Be careful not to overcook the omelet, as it will become dry and rubbery. The center should still be slightly moist when you fold it. For a richer flavor, consider using brown butter to grease the pan.
