Follow The Directions

01

Step

Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add cubed chicken, season with salt and pepper, and cook until golden brown, about 5 minutes. Add minced garlic and cook until fragrant, about 2 minutes. Pour in chicken broth and heavy whipping cream. Stir in penne pasta and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer until pasta is tender and sauce has thickened, about 15 minutes.

02

Step

Preheat oven broiler and position oven rack about 6 inches from the heat source. Grease an 11x17-inch baking pan.

03

Step

Pour half of the pasta mixture into the prepared baking pan. Sprinkle evenly with half of the grated Parmesan cheese and half of the shredded mozzarella cheese. Layer the remaining pasta mixture on top, then finish with the remaining Parmesan and mozzarella cheeses.

04

Step

Broil in the preheated oven until the cheese is melted, bubbly, and golden brown, about 10 to 15 minutes. Watch carefully to prevent burning.

For an even richer flavor, consider using freshly grated Parmesan cheese.
Feel free to add other vegetables such as broccoli florets or sliced mushrooms to the pasta mixture.
If you prefer a less creamy sauce, you can substitute half-and-half for some of the heavy cream.
Garnish with fresh parsley or basil for added flavor and visual appeal.
