Follow The Directions

01

Step

Preheat your air fryer to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C). (5 minutes)

02

Step

In a medium bowl, combine the rinsed and drained black beans, corn kernels, olive oil, lime juice, and salt. Stir gently to ensure the beans and corn are evenly coated. Set aside. (5 minutes)

03

Step

Lay the tilapia fillets on a clean work surface and pat them dry with paper towels. Lightly spray each fillet with cooking spray, then sprinkle half of the blackened seasoning evenly over the top. Flip the fillets over, spray again with cooking spray, and sprinkle with the remaining blackened seasoning. (5 minutes)

04

Step

Carefully place the seasoned fish fillets in a single layer in the basket of your preheated air fryer. You may need to work in batches depending on the size of your air fryer. Cook for 2 minutes, then gently flip the fish and cook for another 2 minutes. Transfer the cooked fish to a plate and set aside. (4 minutes)

05

Step

Place the black bean and corn mixture in the air fryer basket and cook for 10 minutes, stirring halfway through to ensure even cooking and prevent burning. (10 minutes)

06

Step

Warm the corn tortillas according to package directions. Gently flake the cooked fish into bite-sized pieces. Fill each warm tortilla with the flaked fish, then top with the black bean and corn salsa. Serve immediately with lime wedges and your favorite Louisiana-style hot sauce. (5 minutes)

For extra flavor, consider grilling the corn on the cob before cutting off the kernels. This adds a smoky sweetness to the salsa.
Feel free to adjust the amount of blackened seasoning to your taste preference. If you prefer a milder flavor, use less seasoning.
If you don't have an air fryer, you can bake the fish in a preheated oven at 400 degrees F (200 degrees C) for approximately 10-12 minutes, or until the fish is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
Add your own twist! Consider toppings like shredded cabbage, avocado, or a dollop of sour cream.
