Follow The Directions

01

Step

In a large skillet, heat over medium heat. Add ground pork and cook, breaking it up with a spoon, until evenly browned. (Approximately 8-10 minutes)

02

Step

Add the cubed zucchini, chopped Hungarian hot peppers, and chopped green bell peppers to the skillet. Season generously with garlic powder, salt, and pepper.

03

Step

Stir in the spaghetti sauce, ensuring all vegetables and pork are well coated.

04

Step

Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 25 minutes, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking and ensure even cooking. The zucchini and peppers should be tender.

05

Step

Serve hot on thickly sliced Italian bread.

For a milder flavor, remove the seeds and membranes from the Hungarian hot peppers before chopping.
To add depth of flavor, brown the ground pork with a diced onion before adding the remaining ingredients.
A pinch of red pepper flakes can be added for extra heat.
Fresh basil or oregano, chopped and stirred in during the last few minutes of simmering, will brighten the dish.
Serve with a sprinkle of grated Parmesan cheese for added richness.
Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
