Follow The Directions

01

Step

Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add onion and saute until tender, about 3-4 minutes.

02

Step

In a small bowl, whisk together tomato sauce, beef broth, flour, cider vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, Sriracha, sugar, chili powder, and salt. Pour the sauce mixture into the skillet with the onions. Cook, stirring constantly, until the sauce begins to thicken, approximately 2 minutes.

03

Step

Stir in kidney beans and sliced franks. Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer until the franks are heated through, around 8-10 minutes. If the mixture becomes too thick, add more beef broth to reach your desired consistency.

For a vegetarian option, substitute the beef franks with plant-based sausages or smoked tofu.
Adjust the amount of Sriracha to your preferred level of spice.
Serve over rice or with a side of cornbread for a heartier meal.
Try adding a pinch of smoked paprika for an even deeper smoky flavor.
