Follow The Directions

01

Step

Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add ground beef and cook until brown and crumbly, 5 to 8 minutes. Drain grease from skillet.

02

Step

Pour in 1/2 of the pasta sauce and mix with browned beef. Break up lasagna noodles into 4 or 5 pieces each; set on top of sauce mixture. Add remaining pasta sauce on top of noodles and stir. Cover and simmer over medium-low heat until noodles are soft, about 25 minutes.

03

Step

Add ricotta cheese and season with garlic powder and salt; stir until ricotta has melted. Sprinkle mozzarella cheese and Parmesan cheese on top; cover and let sit until cheese has melted, about 5 minutes.

For an extra layer of flavor, try browning the ground beef with a diced onion and a clove or two of minced garlic.
Feel free to substitute ground turkey or Italian sausage for the ground beef.
Add a layer of spinach or other leafy greens for added nutrients.
If you like a richer flavor, use a blend of mozzarella and provolone cheese.

My noodles were still a little firm after 25 minutes. I added a splash of water and cooked it a bit longer, and it turned out perfectly.
