For an extra layer of flavor, try browning the ground beef with a diced onion and a clove or two of minced garlic. Feel free to substitute ground turkey or Italian sausage for the ground beef. Add a layer of spinach or other leafy greens for added nutrients. If you like a richer flavor, use a blend of mozzarella and provolone cheese.
