Nourish your furry friend with this wholesome, homemade dog food recipe featuring tender chicken, vibrant green beans, and hearty oats. A balanced and delicious meal crafted with love for optimal canine well-being.
Combine water and rolled oats in a rice cooker. Seal and cook according to the manufacturer's instructions until the oats are tender. (Approximately 15 minutes). Once the cycle is complete and the unit switches to the warm setting, remove the pot and set aside.
Heat canola oil in a large frying pan or wok over high heat. Add the chopped chicken thighs, cover, and cook for 4 minutes, stirring every minute to ensure even cooking. Add the frozen cut green beans, cover, and continue to cook for another 4 minutes, stirring every minute.
Stir in the liquid aminos, using a spatula to break up any clumps and evenly distribute the flavor. Reduce the heat to low, cover, and simmer for 10 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld together.
Incorporate the cooked oatmeal into the chicken and green bean mixture, using a spatula to thoroughly combine all ingredients. Remove the pan from the heat and allow the mixture to cool completely. (Approximately 20-30 minutes).
Once cooled, portion the dog food into desired serving sizes and package for freezing. This will ensure freshness and allow for easy meal preparation.
