Follow The Directions

01

Step

Preheat your air fryer to 320°F (160°C). Generously coat a small fluted tube pan or similar-sized baking pan with cooking spray. (5 minutes)

02

Step

In a mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and sugar using an electric mixer until light and fluffy. (5 minutes)

03

Step

Add the egg and apricot jam to the butter mixture, mixing until well combined. (2 minutes)

04

Step

In a separate bowl, sift together the flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Be careful not to overmix. (5 minutes)

05

Step

Pour the batter into the prepared pan, ensuring it is evenly distributed. Gently level the surface with the back of a spoon or spatula. (2 minutes)

06

Step

Carefully place the pan in the air fryer basket. Cook for approximately 15 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. (15 minutes)

07

Step

Once cooked, remove the cake from the air fryer and let it cool in the pan for a few minutes before inverting it onto a wire rack to cool completely. Dust with powdered sugar or your favorite icing before serving.

For a richer flavor, use dark cocoa powder.
If you don't have apricot jam, you can substitute with another fruit preserve or a teaspoon of vanilla extract.
Adjust cooking time depending on your air fryer model. Start checking for doneness around 12 minutes.
Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream.
