Follow The Directions

01

Step

In a large glass or ceramic bowl, whisk together the vegetable oil, lemon juice, lime juice, orange juice, Worcestershire sauce, seasoned salt, garlic salt, and lemon-pepper seasoning. Add the chicken pieces and toss to coat evenly. Cover and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour, or up to 24 hours.

02

Step

Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Transfer the marinated chicken to a baking dish.

03

Step

Bake in the preheated oven until the chicken is cooked through and no longer pink in the center, about 45 minutes to 1 hour. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly. Shred the chicken with two forks, discarding the bones.

04

Step

In a separate bowl, place the shredded cabbage and pour 1/3 of the lime juice over it. Toss well until the cabbage is lightly coated and slightly softened.

05

Step

In another bowl, mash the avocados for the guacamole. Mix in 1/4 of the remaining lime juice and season generously with salt and pepper to taste.

06

Step

Warm the flour tortillas in a skillet over medium-low heat for about 2-3 minutes, or until pliable.

07

Step

To assemble the tacos, layer each warm tortilla with shredded chicken, lime-dressed cabbage, sliced green onions, fresh cilantro, a dollop of guacamole, and a spoonful of sour cream and salsa. Drizzle with the remaining lime juice for an extra burst of flavor.

For a spicier kick, add a pinch of cayenne pepper to the chicken marinade.
Feel free to substitute grilled chicken or rotisserie chicken for a quicker preparation.
To prevent browning, store leftover guacamole in an airtight container with a layer of plastic wrap pressed directly onto the surface.
Customize your tacos with your favorite toppings! Consider adding pickled onions, crumbled cheese, or a drizzle of hot sauce.
